Explain the process of translation.

Translation is the process of polymerisation of amino acids to form a polypeptide.
The different phases of translation are:
(i) Activation of amino acids
(ii) Initiation of polypeptide synthesis
(iii) Elongation of polypeptide chain
(iv) Termination of polypeptide
