When we go about our everyday lives we respond to the pictures, sounds and smells around us. Our feelings, or emotions, are a particular response to what we  experience. Feelings are produced in the brain. They involve many areas, particularly the hypothalamus and the cerebrum. Feelings arise as a result of nerve signals from  the senses, or from the Cortex, in response to our thoughts.
